SHEFFIELD ARENABroughton Lane, Sheffield The Arena was built for the World Student Games as a multi-purpose venue for concerts, exhibitions and sporting events. Many top international stars have performed here including Tina Turner, Elton John, Paul Simon, and Celine Dion. Box Office: 0114 2565656 Sporting events at the Arena include ice hockey with the Sheffield Steelers, showjumping, 6-a-side football and, occasionally, basketball with the Sheffield Sharks. The Arena is located in Sheffield's Don Valley a couple of miles from junction 34 of the M1 motorway. it is also served well by public transport including the Supertram which stops nearby.
