 The Sheffield Eagles are a
relatively new club formed by the endeavours of Mark Aston who formerly
played for and managed the team by the same name, which eventually
became the Huddersfield Giants who now play in the Superleague.The club only just got in its application to join the league and was voted in by the other clubs in the league at the third attempt following an initial cool response. The club play in the National League Division 2. They have enjoyed reasonable success in their short history. The Eagles play home games mostly on Sundays at Don Valley Stadium in Attercliffe.
