The Sheffield Tigers Speedway team rides at Owlerton stadium in the Hillsborough district. Their race jackets are mainly yellow with a blue Tiger in them. A meeting consists of 15 races with 4 riders in each race. The average time for one race is about 63 seconds with some as slow as 65.5 seconds. Meetings are at home on Thursday evenings (19:45 start) and away on Saturdays and Sundays. The Speedway season runs from Spring to Autumn. Tigers Hotline 09066 555923. Directions to the track are as follows: FROM THE NORTH (M1) Leave the M1 southbound at Junction 36 (A61). Turn right and follow the A61 in to Sheffield for approximately seven miles. About half a mile past Sheffield Wednesday's football stadium, turn left at the lights at the Old Crown public house in to the stadium car park. FROM THE SOUTH (M1) Leave the M1 at Junction 33. Take the first exit and follow the A630 for approximately five miles to the Park Square roundabout. Then follow the signs for A61 (North) for about 3 miles. The stadium is on the right 200 yards after the MacDonalds restaurant.
